Speaking at SQLBits

In this post I want to cover speaking at SQLBits. Even though I’m trying to avoid doing a post about every event I’m selected to speak at.

However, SQLBits deserves a special mention as I’m thrilled that I am speaking there this year.

In an previously post here. I wrote about submitting for SQLBits. As you already could guessed I got selected to speak.

Some of you know I have spoken at various events around Europe. So why am I so excited about this presentation. Well I’m not only able to return to my home country, but this will be also my first time speaking at SQLBits.

For those of you who have yet to discover SQLBits it’s the largest SQL Server event in Europe. You can find out more information about it in more detail here.

Personally, I’ve been going to SQLBits since the event in Brighton. I thought it was great and I got to meet a whole new bunch of people. Since then I have only ever missed one, because I was moving to a new house.

I think it’s a great event because you get to have high quality sessions from speakers all around the world there. In addition, you can attend training days which can contain a wealth of knowledge.

Another good thing about SQLBits is the networking. I have met a wealth of friendly people there over the years. It’s always a welcoming atmosphere and you will always find people there you can talk with.

That brings me to something I must not forget to mention. They also do some great themed parties as part of the evening events. Those of you who are going will be pleased to know I have got my costume lined up since I have been selected to speak there.

Final word

All in all SQLBits is a great event to attend. You can learn a lot and it’s a fun and good way to network. I can recommend it to all in the Microsoft Data Platform industry.

This year I will be presenting my unique session Database Adventure. If you wish to attend my session note that I will be speaking on Saturday the 2nd March at 9:40.

Anyway, for those of you going to SQLBits later this month I will see you there. As I will be there during the whole event.
