Recently I’ve been providing more SQL Server 2019 and Azure DevOps feedback than I have done in the last year. In addition, it’s certainly been a busy week for me for personal reasons as well.
Because I’ve been celebrating my wedding anniversary, dealing with home improvements and waiting for my brothers’ book to appear online.
SQL Server 2019 Lab feedback
Where do I begin. Well last week I published my personal review about the SQL Server 2019 Lab. Which you can read in detail here. Afterwards, Bob Ward asked me on Twitter to provide some feedback based on it.

Azure DevOps feedback
Afterwards, I realised I needed to provide a suggestion about one of the filters in Azure DevOps. It was about adding a ‘Not’ option on the filter for tags on the backlog boards. You can read this Azure DevOps suggestion in detail here.
SQL Server 2019 feedback
After doing this I thought I might as well provide the outstanding suggestions I had for SQL Server. However, when I first went to do so I discovered SQL Server 2019 CTP 3.2 had being released.
Eventually though I got around to providing the two SQL Server 2019 suggestions this week.
First one is about having a command line version of SQL Server Configuration Manager. Because it could be useful in certain situations.
In fact, I did talk to a Microsoft employee at Pass Summit last year who asked me to send this by email. I thought I better submit it officially because it is months later.

Second suggestion is about using local repositories. Which some of you know I have posted about in the past. Of course, you are welcome vote or comment about this suggestion here.
Final word
To sum up, in the future I’m going to aim to provide SQL Server 2019 and Azure DevOps feedback more frequently. Otherwise I’m going to end up in a situation where I’m providing feedback for multiple items again.
